Call To Action (CTA)
A statement that tells readers what to do next.
In the context of email prospecting, a call to action (CTA) is the final component that drives readers to your conversion goal (e.g. schedule a demo).
A short, concise, hyper-personalized cold email will still fall short if there's no clear call to action at the end of it. The lead may be enamored with what you had to say, but if you don't make the next step clear and easy for them to respond to, they're just going to move on with their day.
Examples of a clear call to action are:
• Do you have 10 minutes available Thursday or Friday?
• If you're interested then please visit: acme.com/lander
• In you're interested then please click here to schedule a demo
• If you're interested then please respond with the name of your current provider
Deliberate and smart calls to action are important to all sales teams doing outbound email prospecting.
