Inbound leads

Leads who come to you through marketing and more.

Any lead who reaches out to you as a result of marketing, advertising, word of mouth, etc. is an inbound lead. Inbound leads require inbound prospecting (much easier than outbound prospecting) but it requires time and money to generate enough inbound leads to feed a dedicated sales rep.

Common inbound lead sources for digital sales teams include:
-Pay per click (PPC) ads
-Email inquiries
-Call-ins
-Website form fills
-Website scheduling
-Referrals
-Affiliates
-Social selling & social media

All businesses should invest some time and money into generating inbound leads, but new businesses (without prior success in lead generation) shouldn’t rely on inbound leads to fund the business.
