Profit-Based Commission

Based on gross profit (margin) or net profit (margin minus overhead).

Profit commissions are based on gross profit (margin) or net profit (margin minus overhead). These types of commissions make the most sense when sales reps are responsible (or can influence to some degree) the profit margin on each sale.
