Prospecting tools
Software where efficient outbound prospecting is the core functionality.
Software such as Reply or Zopto where efficient outbound prospecting is the core functionality. These are better at prospecting than most CRMs but, unlike CRMs, aren’t intended to be used to track the entire sales process and don’t have most pipeline features.
Some prospecting tools have targeting capabilities which allow them to search for leads and contact info for prospecting campaigns. If a tool doesn’t have that capability, you’ll need to input your own lead lists or use a separate targeting tool.
Prospecting tools are necessary when:
1. Outbound prospecting is necessary, AND…
2. Your ideal CRM can’t manage prospecting effectively, OR…
3. Configuring your ideal CRM to manage prospecting is too expensive
