Soft appointment
A lead requesting a call back without committing to a formal meeting.
A soft appointment is when a lead, prospect or customer requests a “casual” callback from a sales rep. Unlike a firm appointment, they’re not committing to meet you virtually (or in person) at a specific date in time.
Soft appointments are better than none, but they must be treated differently from firm appointments when tracking compensation and quotas.
